« Made in Dammarie les Lys « , issus de quartiers métissés, ils se retrouvent d’abord autour de leurs percus pour en faire jaillir les rythmes ancestraux venus de l’ Afrique, dont le fameux « nyabhingui » , fil conducteur de leur musique. Ils se dirigent ensuite définitivement vers une musique reggae, qui a accompagné leur jeunesse, et se lancent individuellement dans l’apprentissage des instruments qui les caractérisent.

Nombreux sont les musiciens qui ont participé à l’aventure KINOUNOU et ont continué leur route vers d’autres horizons « BIG UP LES ANCIENS, LONG IS THE ROAD !!! » ; Néanmoins le noyau dur du groupe est resté soudé et a continué de créer et de faire vivre sa musique envoûtante …

Après 7 ans de scène, plusieurs centaines de dates à travers toute la France et un premier album en 2005, Kinounou s’est enrichi de nouvelles sonorités. La machine est en marche vers le nouvel album, toujours des textes en français, des mélodies envoûtantes. Du reggae en français, en couleurs, des textes conscients, des rythmes entraînants, un son percutant, KINOUNOU en live vous offre un SPECTACLE ROOTS REGGAE DANCE HALL chargé d’émotions et de vibrations 100% POSITIVES!!!
